3 out of 5 so far, that's great!! I just left ACS and the International School football tournament. Southbank is 3 - 1, only losing to the team from Portugal. Three of Portugese team are staying at your house during the tournament and were cheering on John at the match I just watched. Southbank won 4 0r 5 to Nil so are in the Semi-Finals. I'm going back in a couple of hours to watch that one. If they win they will play tomorrow in the finals and maybe could play for third or fourth. John took a penalty and scored and moved forward on a corner kick and scored again. Salah and Eli moved him up to striker so he could try for a hat trick and he almost got one when he missed a header just over the top of the net. I'm not too surprised you didn't find anything interesting in Reno. Am interested where you are headed now. Bon Journee.
I tried once, but unsuccessfully to post a comment. But I figured that if your Dad could figure it out, then I should be able to as well - so a second attempt. Booked ski trip at Christmas today - but was unsure about which of the 4 different passport numbers for Homie that you gave me so I used the Swiss one - figured that would probably be safer than his Afghani passport which may be considered a bit suspect.
I also forgot to tell you that I put a satellite phone in your bag knowing that you hadn't thought about how to handle the break down in the middle of the desert when you didn't have a signal - surely you had found it?
Was at Parent/teacher conferences yesterday and spent most of John's allocated 15 minutes telling your teachers about your adventures - and realising that we only had about 2 minutes for John. Oh well, he still has another 2 years.
Have forwarded your blog to your Southbank admirers - they are all so proud of your IB scores and your Uni acceptances.
Give us a bell when you land - Cyn said you were going to arrive today.
Just had ribs for 13 - boys were very tired and it was a quiet affair. Not at all surprising. I am exhausted myself - lots of work things happening and haven't had much sleep.
Silus and Georgina send their best - Silas has gained about 5 pounds....his winter 'layer'.
Well...rent week is over. We struggled through it without you at the right seat. Janet had to refresh her memory on the addresses and locations of the late rent offenders. It took her hours and hours, but she did it. You are missed...Love, Auntie Denise
